What are the dimensions of the aluminum bottle?

Are we permitted to utilize other images beyond those provided in the Google Drive folder?
Yes, participants are free to use any other images apart from those provided. 

 

I noticed that in the current logo type, “Drype” is written in lowercase. Could you please share the reasoning behind this stylistic choice?
The Drype logo is written in lowercase to convey a sense of modernity and innovation, with a clean and minimalist aesthetic. Additionally, it aligns well with the friendly and informal tone that characterizes our brand. Participants are free to propose any changes to this choice and must not be attached to this original concept.

 

Which story does Drype want to tell to their customers and how do they stick to it at every level in the communication? 
Drype is a Milan-based startup founded in 2022 committed to leading the alcoholic beverage industry towards a more sustainable future through a minimalist approach. Our goal is to offer cocktails that allow customers to experience high-level mixology with low environmental impact. In terms of communication, we aim to highlight the quality of our cocktails, the sourcing of ingredients, and the story and originality behind each recipe. The minimalist approach, both in terms of design and product, best represents the theme of formal sophistication and the approach used for reducing CO2 emissions.

 

What does the name Drype mean?
When we started our entrepreneurial journey, our prototype was a solid alcoholic tablet and the name Drype was based on that prototype “We are in HYPE for DRY”, from there we thought of DRYPE which we liked because it was a few letters, unique and it sounded good.

 

When was the startup born?
The project was born from a university course during our master's degree and we did the first brainstorming in May 2021 but we started working on it full time from January 2022 until the actual incorporation of the company on 22 November 2022.

 

How did the idea for Drype come about?
During an entrepreneurial course at the Alta Scuola Politecnica we were asked to think about a project linked to the theme of food waste. We analyzed this problem by focusing both on the logistical aspects of the food industry and in particular we focused on the alcohol sector because it seemed to us to be a very traditional/classic sector, little subject to innovation over time. Subsequently we analyzed the weight of a bottle of Campari and realized that 90% of its weight was water and packaging and so we thought about making concentrated cocktails to reduce the weight and volume transported.

 

For you, is sustainability one of the values you embody, or is it the founding value on which the entire Drype world is based?
The project was born with a mission of environmental sustainability: our goal was to offer the market a cocktail that did not have an environmental impact like traditional cocktails/spirits but which offered the end customer a unique, innovative and at the same time , environmentally friendly.

 

Are proposals for a possible redesign of the packaging consistent with the designed visual identity permitted?
The packaging at the moment is a 20ml glass bottle, but we are moving to use 30 / 150 / 500 ml aluminum bottles and a 3L bag in box. If you are referring to the puppet or the packaging graphics, yes that can be rethought.

 

What is your main target? The public business (companies) or consumer customers (private)
The sectors most interested in Drype are luxury hotels, airlines, cruises, boat tours, catering, restaurants or corporates who want our cocktails as gadgets or gifts for customers and/or employees

 

Which language can I use in the .pdf Presentation? 
All the submitted text files have to be in English.

 

If I choose the 3X or 2X logos pack do I have to fit all three or two logo proposals in the 20 pages presentation? 
If you choose the 3X or 2X logos pack, it's required to upload 3 or 2 different .pdfs of 20 pages each, one per proposal, in order to explain your design choices in the best way possible.

 

Where can I find my “Order Number”? 
The “Order Number” (ex. 12345) will be available after complete your registration. In addition will be sent also at your email address.

 

Who can participate in the competition? 
The competition is open to students, architects, designers, urbanists, engineers, artists, makers, activists and anyone interested in the architectural design.

 

Is it possible to participate in a team? 
Participants can join the competition either individually or with a team and there is no restriction or limit in the number of members that can compose a team.

 

Why registration fees? 
Registration fees are used to cover the running costs of the competition and to improve customer care services. The registration fees cover taxes, web services, database services and everything related to computer security and the processing of personal data. Registration fees allow us to organize new initiatives to promote creativity and to feed the debate on present and future issues regarding climate change, natural-based solutions and social engagement.
 
 
Can I enrol to the competition with my Company or Firm? 
Yes, you can participate with your Company. To issue your invoice, we ask you to provide your Tax identification number or your VAT Number on the registration procedure. If your Company is based in Europe, we should verify the correctness of your VAT number via the EU Tax authorities (VIES VAT number validation).
 
 
How do I register a team? 
During the registration we only need the personal data of the group leader. The other team members will be indicated in the final submission package at the end of the competition. You will find all the instructions after registering.
 
 
Are there any restrictions on the nationality of the participants? 
Teams can be composed by members of different nationalities and there are no restrictions about country of residence.
 
 
I didn’t receive the confirmation email. Is there a way to check if everything has been uploaded properly?
