LISON WINERY – ARCHITECTURE COMPETITION
Lison Winery is an architecture competition that calls for the transformation of Ca’ Rossa, a historic farm immersed in the vineyards of eastern Veneto, into a contemporary boutique winery. Set within the Lison–Pramaggiore DOC territory, the project explores the relationship between rural heritage, wine culture and contemporary architectural language.
The contest challenges participants to reinterpret an abandoned agricultural complex, giving new life to its spaces through a program that combines hospitality, tasting and experiential functions. Rather than focusing on production, the project encourages a broader vision of the winery as a place to stay and engage with the landscape, where architecture becomes a medium for storytelling and sensory discovery.
Designers are invited to work freely on both interior and exterior spaces, reconfiguring layouts, circulation and open areas while respecting the architectural identity of the existing structure. Landscape design plays a central role, shaping courtyards, paths and transitional spaces that connect the building to the surrounding vineyards and enhance year-round usability.
More than a simple restoration, Lison Winery seeks proposals capable of bridging past and present, transforming Ca’ Rossa into a contemporary destination where wine, architecture and territory converge – offering a new model for experiencing the Venetian vineyards.
