Intro
BODEGAS VINIVAL – ARCHITECTURE COMPETITION
Set within the vibrant coastal landscape of Alboraya, just outside Valencia, this competition invites architects, designers and creatives to reimagine the historic Bodegas Vinival as a cultural space inspired by the city’s iconic festival, Las Fallas.
Participants are challenged to breathe new life into this mid-century industrial complex – once a thriving wine production facility – by proposing an architectural and landscape intervention that celebrates memory, craftsmanship and reinvention.
Whether through bold spatial reconfigurations or subtle reinterpretations of its structural rhythm, the project should reimagine the Bodegas as a dynamic environment for community gathering, creativity and cultural expression.
The transformed complex should become a living center for exhibitions, performances, workshops and everyday activity – celebrating Valencia’s traditions while opening the space to new cultural experiences and year-round public use.
